The frustration that started it
In 2015, our founder was a dental practice owner in Chelsea. Her accountant billed £18,000 a year — and took three working days to answer a simple email about a pension allowance charge. When the bill for that email arrived (£240), the decision to leave was easy. The difficulty was finding anyone materially better.
A different way to work
She teamed up with two ACCA-qualified partners and opened AudTax in 2016 with three principles that still define us: fixed monthly fees, same-day responses, and genuine sector specialism. No hourly billing. No surprise invoices. No "we'll look into it and get back to you."
Where we are now
Eight years on, we serve 300+ UK business owners — from Amazon sellers doing £50k a year to dental groups with £4m+ turnover. We have two London offices, ACCA Gold approval, and a 5-star rating across 500+ Google reviews. We've saved clients £2.4m in the last 12 months alone.
What we still care about
Despite the growth, we've kept the firm deliberately partner-led. Every client has a direct line to a qualified accountant — not an offshore team or a junior. That's the thing that scales worst in accountancy, and we've refused to compromise on it.
